A simple yet effective musing on the family Lucanidae or the Stag Beetles. Worldwide, they differ in size, tone and form dramatically, with only the elongated mandibles of the males to distinguish them as a familiar group.

The most impressive Stag Beetles are found in Southeast Asia where they are widely bred and avid collectors are profuse. However, species from Rwanda, Tanzania, Chile and Europe are also used.
